Chick-fil-A, the popular fast food chicken franchise, offers a unique scholarship program for team members seeking higher education. The Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarship program awards $2500 to $25,000 scholarships to Chick-fil-A employees exhibiting exceptional community leadership and service.
Annually, a minimum of twelve (12) $25,000 scholarships are granted to students, taking into account their academic achievements, community service involvement, and financial requirements. These recipients, known as Chick-fil-A Community Scholars, are also integrated into the Chick-fil-A Scholars Program, a year-long initiative involving mentorship and leadership enhancement, alongside our Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Scholars. Through this initiative, we honor exceptional individuals who demonstrate a shared commitment to compassion and community stewardship. It is our privilege to contribute to the educational endeavors of these aspiring leaders.
Recipients of the awards have the flexibility to utilize the funds for various educational expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and other related costs at any accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school. Scholarship disbursements are directly issued to the educational institution and cannot be allocated towards student loans or refunded to individuals. Furthermore, in conjunction with the scholarship, students engage in a comprehensive year-long program centered on leadership cultivation and mentorship.
About the Scholarship
The Chick-fil-A scholarship program began in 1973 under founder S. Truett Cathy, who wanted to help Chick-fil-A team members finance their college education. In 2022, the program awarded over $18 million in scholarships to 6,700 restaurant employees.

- Open to all Chick-fil-A employees who have worked at least one year at the restaurant.

Eligibility and Selection
To be eligible for consideration as a 2024 Chick-fil-A Community Scholar, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Residency: Reside in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada.
2. Educational Status: Be currently enrolled as a postsecondary undergraduate or graduate student or intend to enroll in such studies at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the academic year 2024-2025.
3. Recommendation: Obtain recommendation letters from a teacher, coach, community leader, or mentor highlighting the applicant’s personal and/or professional achievements. Up to three recommendation letters will be accepted.
4. Community Service: Demonstrate active involvement in community service within the twelve (12) months preceding the application. Applicants must describe their impact on their community, friends, and family.
5. Academic Performance: Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). Academic accolades and recognition will also be taken into account. Applicants must provide a transcript displaying their name, school name, courses taken, and GPA.
6. Financial Need: Demonstrate financial need.
7. Employment Status: Not be employed at a Chick-fil-A® restaurant or Chick-fil-A, Inc. at the time of application, nor be a dependent or spouse of a Chick-fil-A, Inc. Employee or Operator.
Key Dates for the 2024 Chick-fil-A Community Scholarships:

– Spring 2024: Notification of scholarship recipients.
