2023 PEO International Peace Scholarship Award for Women to Pursue Their Studies in USA and Canada

The application portal for PEO International Peace Scholarship for Women to study in USA and Canada is now open. The scholarship award is a need-based scholarship programme initiated to support financial aid to women who are not from the United States and Canada, eyeing high degrees from a recognized college or university in Canada or United States.

PEO International scholarship awards will be offered to shortlisted women from other countries to pursue graduate degrees in the United States and Canada.

About Scholarship:

Founded in 1949, International Peace Scholarship Fund is a programme that offers scholarship awards to exceptional interpersonal women to pursue graduate degrees in Canada and United States. Members of P.E.O. hold the belief that education is important to world peace and unity.

The selected women would have showed need. Applicants should note that the scholarship award is partial.

Scholarship Criteria:

• P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Award is open to qualified international women only.
• For interested aspirants to qualify for the first scholarship award, they must have a full year of coursework remaining, and be enrolled and in residence for the whole school year.
• The Doctoral applicants who have completed coursework, and working only on dissertations can’t apply for the scholarship awards.
• The International female students attending Cottey College can apply for the scholarship awards. 
• Female students who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Canada can’t apply for the scholarship awards.
• The scholarship awards are not granted for online research, courses, internships or for practical training if not added with coursework.

Duration and Award

During the application, the applicants are to express additional financial resources enough to meet her estimated expenses.

The additional resources include personal and family funds, work scholarships, tuition waivers, teaching assistantships, study grants and others.

The amount awarded to selected students is worth $12,500. The award will be granted based on the individual’s needs.

• March 1, 2023: Last date to submit completed application materials from aspirants who have already enrolled in the graduate programme and school for which their scholarship is intended.
• April 1, 2023: Last date to submit completed application materials from aspirants who have not yet enrolled in the graduate programme or school for which the scholarship is intended. Last date to submit completed application materials for aspirants who will be attending Cottey College

Conclusion

This scholarship award is for female students only, and applications of male students will not be considered.
